FUNDER35 – the fund for cultural enterprises started by young people is the brainchild of the Committee for Cultural Activities and Heritage of ACRI (Associazione Casse di Risparmio Italiane). It is aimed at helping cultural enterprises managed mainly by young people aged between 18 and 35 to acquire management and production skills in order to improve their efficiency, sustainability and market positioning.
The aim of FUNDER35 is to support and assist non-profit cultural enterprises made up predominantly of young people under 35, offering them help in managerial and organisational aspects, rewarding innovation and fostering sustainability.
The initiative, launched in 2012 by the Committee for Cultural Activities and Heritage of ACRI, is now in its second three-year cycle of activity and is supported by 18 Foundations. In the 2015 call for proposals 50 cultural enterprises run by young people from all over the country were selected.
The idea is that, by strengthening the organisational and management skills of such enterprises and helping them to achieve an innovative and quality artistic-cultural proposal, these enterprises will find it easier to hold their own on the market, also through facilitation of their contacts with the youthful public.
The investment of the Ente CRF amounts to € 390,000.00 over three years. The cost of the entire project is € 2,500,000.00.
