Over 100 paintings by famous artists including Fattori, Telemaco Signorini, Giuseppe Abbati, Eugenio Cecconi, Vito D’Ancona, Oscar Ghiglia, Ulvi Liegi and Llewelyn Lloyd. From the early paintings of the exponents of the Macchiaioli movement up to the works of the first half of the  twentieth century, the collection presents a body of works of significant quality and varied subject which has been enhanced from one generation to the next. The collection was begun by Giovanni Del Greco and conspicuously expanded by Alessandro Roster and by the Olschki family at the turn of the century. It was presented in the form of a range of beautiful works that offer a fascinating overview of Tuscan collecting in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, comprising the battles of the Risorgimento, the landscapes of the ‘macchia’ and the streets of a long-gone Florence, as well as intimate family scenes.
