Signs, symbols and sacred geometries inspired by the “built” Italy, namely the work of man: these are the subjects of the images by George Tatge displayed at this exhibition. A series of 66 photographs taken all over Italy on the subject of the local traces of human activity, ranging from Roman buildings to suburban apartment blocks, from Renaissance churches to abandoned factories.

This is an Italian journey that reveals the poetic conviction that the ancient, the modern and the future coexist in a creative unity of secluded inter-engagement and that the figurative cache of history must be used as legacy, as a material to be invented, perennially new.
